JILL SQUYRES GROUBERT PHD
CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST

Change is inevitable, growth is optional."

AM I THE RIGHT THERAPIST FOR YOU?

Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to help. I have over 30 years of experience helping people successfully navigate life's most difficult challenges and realize their dreams. My practice is based on a combination of solution-focused, cognitive-behavioral, and positive psychology approaches. I provide counseling, psychotherapy, consultation and executive coaching services at my private practice in beautiful Arvada, Colorado and internet-based counseling, psychotherapy and executive coaching to clients throughout the entire states of Colorado and Texas, where I am licensed.

My goal as a psychotherapist is to provide a secure comfortable place for people to explore personal issues, solve problems, examine assumptions, increase self-understanding, consider new perspectives, change dysfunctional patterns, learn new coping strategies, find their strengths, overcome their weaknesses and create the happy healthy life they want. I see myself as a guide, a teacher and a gentle but unflinching mirror. Psychotherapy is about both insight and measurable change. In my opinion, the goal of psychotherapy is to help you find the best way to play the "hand" that life has dealt to you.

Many people are reluctant to try psychotherapy because they don't want to spend a lot of time analyzing their childhoods. Others have said they've talked to a therapist in the past but nothing in their lives really changed from it. My practice is different. I help my clients solve problems and make practical improvements in their lives that will make a difference right now. I've helped countless teens and adults make lasting changes and lead better happier lives.

The right therapist-client match is essential for success. My personal style is warm, supportive, flexible and optimistic. I focus on your individual perspective, unique strengths and personal values as we collaborate in bringing about the changes that will accomplish your goals. If you are nervous or skeptical about psychotherapy, you may be in for a very pleasant surprise. Most people find talking with someone who can help is much easier than going it alone. If your life is not going as you'd planned, if you have problems you aren't sure you can handle, if you feel sad, angry, irritable, nervous, tense, or worried much of the time, if your relationships are troubled or you're having problems at work or school or if you just want to live a happier, more fulfilling and satisfying life, I'd like to help.

Young people often benefit from discussing sensitive issues or emotional problems with a trusted adult who is not a family member.
